About the event

Be the first to get a glimpse at the Third Annual San Diego Filipino Film Festival film lineup at our Magic Hour: SDFFF Preview Night Gala! Enjoy an intimate night of scrumptious Filipino cuisine, an open bar, performances by San Diego's Philippine Performing Arts Company (PASACAT), and the Philippine Chamber Singers - Los Angeles. The evening's Master of Ceremonies is Emmy award-winning television news journalist, Maria Arcega-Dunn. This annual event benefits San Diego Filipino Cinema's centerpiece event of the year - San Diego Filipino Film Festival - and our year-round film screenings and educational film programs for our San Diego community in 2024. With your support, we became the largest curator and exhibitor of global Filipino films in the United States last year. Join us in continuing to build a robust film community and a stronger representation through cinema at this year's Magic Hour and SDFFF.

Dress code: Filipiniana (traditional Filipino wear) or cocktail attire.

Doors open at 5pm for checkin. Cocktail hour begins at 5:30pm. Program begins at 6:45pm and ends at 9:30pm.

COVID-19 Safety Precautions: We are constantly monitoring COVID-19 safety protocols leading to our in-person events and screenings. For your safety, please visit this LINK for the State of California’s current guidelines for gathering safely to help prevent the spread of the virus. We strongly recommend everyone attending all our SDFFF events to get the new booster shot before the Festival begins. We also strongly recommend everyone to please wear your facial masks in crowded areas of the Festival and to physically distance from one another whenever possible.
